At SprungWood, I am dedicated to creating high-quality wood products that stand the test of time. Our mission is to transform exotic Vermont hardwood into beautifully crafted pieces that enhance your space.
SprungWood embraces the beauty of imperfection, highlighting nature's creative collaboration with invasive elements. Fungus, mold, insects, minerals, syrup taps, barbed wire are just some of the artists involved with the process. On a salad bowl, I will fill the cracks and crannies on the inside while preserving exterior imperfections including insect homes. I meticulously excavate them revealing their intricate tunnels and chambers. SprungWood pieces age gracefully, potentially warping, developing fissures, and gaining a rich patina. All my products are finished with food safe finishes.
